Click here to register on Me LearningMenopause, perimenopause and hormal fluctuations often bring about a whole host of physiological and psychological symptoms, and not every persons experience will be the same. For many, the physiological symptoms can be difficult to cope with, while others see a deterioration in mental health with increased levels of anxiety, or a drop in mood. This can often be accompanied by additional life stresses, as we juggle the many expectations upon us
This course will focus on using mindful meditation, and calming techniques which can help lower stress, improve your mood, and increase your ability to manage the challenges of life.
Not all people experience the Menopause and hormonal fluctuations in the same way, and the GM Menopause project aims to be inclusive to a diverse range of individuals that may need support.
On this eight-week course, we will cover some of the signs and symptoms of peri-menopause/menopause, and give you a greater understanding of the importance of managing stress. We will be focusing on using mindfulness meditation, mindful movement, relaxation and breathing techniques to help you better manage this transition, while also providing a supportive and safe environment for you to share with and support others. Sessions are free, interactive and include plenty of time allocated for meditation practice. We hope you’ll feel fully supported in establishing a regular home meditation practice.
The course will not cover the pros and cons of HRT, alternative remedies, or dietary changes. Instead we will focus on meditation, relaxation and mindfulness as a way of managing stress and improving your ability to deal with the challenges that may arise for you. These tools are a great compliment to whatever physical intervention (or none) that you choose.
If you’re unsure if this course is right for you, or if you want to attend but can’t commit to the full 8 weeks, why not attend our 90- minute taster session instead?

This session will give you a greater understanding of the importance of managing stress during hormonal fluctations, and give you a chance to experience some tools proven to help manage this transition, and improve mental wellbeing. Whether you want to calm the anxiety and manage stress, or develop a different relationship with your physical symptoms, this workshop is for you. Come prepared to participate in the meditation and relaxation practices.
